By now you’ve likely heard this week’s big news: The Biden Administration has taken a major step to protect the Boundary Waters by filing an application for a 20-year ban on sulfide-ore copper mining on federal public lands in the watershed of the Boundary Waters!

This is a huge win for the Boundary Waters but let’s be clear: there’s more to be done to ensure permanent protection for this wild and beautiful place we all love.

Push for state and federal legislation - in order to ensure permanent and lasting protection for the Wilderness. The Campaign to Save the Boundary Waters is working with Boundary Waters Champions on the state and federal levels to pass into law permanent Boundary Waters protection laws.
