John,
Take a look at this:
“Senate Majority Leader Jeremy Miller said on KNSI’s ‘Ox in the Afternoon’ Tuesday that Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm could get sacked during a special legislative session, the original intent of which was to get essential worker bonus pay out the door.” - Minnesota Reformer
The MN Senate GOP has revived their threat of firing Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm in an act of political revenge on Governor Walz – in a special session intended to help essential workers no less.
The timing here is no coincidence. This is a shameless attempt at intimidating DFLers after Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan launched their re-election campaign on Tuesday.John, we can’t let the GOP bully us into submission. I have a media plan on my desk ready to put into action to fight back, but we need your help. I just met with our fundraising team, and they said we still need to raise $7,391 by tomorrow night to fund it.
Will you pitch in to help us get there? Make a contribution of $10, $25, $50 (or whatever works) right away to get our communications plan off the ground and send a clear message to the MN GOP that we will not be intimidated.
Thank you,
Brian Evans
