Folks, this is a tough pill to swallow: Right now, elections experts are predicting that Republicans could cement control of Congress for the next decade.

Why? Because the districts being proposed by some GOP mapmakers are so gerrymandered that they all but guarantee a Republican House Majority, even if Democrats win more votes!

If we fall short and allow manipulated maps to go into effect, Democrats could lose the House of Representatives for the next 10 years. That means progress on critical issues like climate change, voting rights, reproductive freedom, and more would all be dead on arrival.

Luckily, the NDRC and its affiliates have a plan to fight back. We’re pushing for a transparent redistricting process, mobilizing communities to advocate for fair districts, and, where necessary, supporting voters in litigation to defend fair maps.
