Summer joins Odessa Kelly, Jessica Cisneros, Kina Collins, and Rana
Abdelhamid on our 2022 slate of primary candidates. Summer is ready to
fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, an end to student debt,
overdue solutions to fix the unjust criminal legal system, and much more.

She’s been representing the people of Southwestern Pennsylvania in the
state legislature, after defeating a political dynasty in 2018. We know
something about overcoming the odds to shake things up in our government.
It’s one of the reasons Summer is Justice Democrats-endorsed on Day 1 of
her campaign.

Born and raised in North Braddock, PA, Summer saw how the deck was stacked

criminal legal system, fight police violence, and end America’s reliance
on fossil fuels is deeply personal.

She’s already a tireless advocate for the people of Southwestern
Pennsylvania. Now she’s ready to bring our collective fight to Congress.
To win this race, she’ll need a ton of grassroots support. That means
