New Jersey Governor Murphy announced his opposition to the Meadowlands power plant. If built, this fracked gas power plant would be one of the largest contributors to climate change in the state. People across the country continue to face disastrous health crises from lead in drinking water. Fracking Wastewater: A Toxic and Radioactive Problem

Fracking is a dangerous drilling practice that produces a chemical-laced wastewater concoction. After drilling down to a rock formation that holds oil or natural gas, millions of gallons of water mixed with chemicals is injected under extreme pressure to fracture the rock. Ventura County Supervisors End Drilling Expansion Near Oxnard

After a two-year campaign led by Food & Water Action and our partners at CFROG (Climate First Replacing Oil & Gas), for the first time in more than a century of oil development, the Ventura County Board of Supervisors voted four to one against a proposal to expand a drill site near Oxnard.
