Big things
are happening in Congress in the fight to address the climate crisis. This
quote from Ro in the Washington Post says it all:

fossil fuel executives have never come before the committee … to explain
climate disinformation and address the climate crisis. That will change,”
Khanna, who chairs the Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Environment,
said in an interview.

Big Oil execs have previously turned down invitations to appear before the
Senate and the House before. But Ro wasn’t ready to back down.

[ [link removed] ]But Khanna has threatened to subpoena the executives this time around.
And the threat alone appears to have worked.

Getting
these executives in front of Congress to answer for their disinformation
could completely change the way we think about the climate crisis – the
same way the infamous 1994 hearing with Big Tobacco CEOs changed the way
we viewed tobacco and nicotine.

Beyond this vital hearing, Ro is one of the strongest champions we have in
the fight for climate action. Ro is leading an effort to end $15 billion
in federal subsidies for major fossil fuel corporations and fighting
alongside his progressives in the House in budget negotiations to ensure
Democrats deliver on an ambitious climate agenda.

To put it frankly –
there are few members of Congress who are doing as much as Ro to stop
climate change, address climate disinformation, and end Big Oil’s
stranglehold on Congress.
