Ro Khanna

Big things are happening in Congress in the fight to address the climate crisis. This quote from Ro in the Washington Post says it all:

That will change,” Khanna, who chairs the Oversight and Reform Subcommittee on Environment, said in an interview.

Big Oil execs have previously turned down invitations to appear before the Senate and the House before. But Ro wasn’t ready to back down.

But Khanna has threatened to subpoena the executives this time around. And the threat alone appears to have worked.

Getting these executives in front of Congress to answer for their disinformation could completely change the way we think about the climate crisis – the same way the infamous 1994 hearing with Big Tobacco CEOs changed the way we viewed tobacco and nicotine.
