Run for Steering Committee! ([link removed])

We will be meeting on Wednesday, October 27th at 7pm to discuss upcoming City elections, DSA SB's role in them, and elect a new steering committee! If you'd like to run for Steering Committee, use this form to declare that you are running ([link removed]) . We will hear from candidates at our meeting and vote them in. We will also hear about ways to get involved in the continued fight for Single Payer healthcare in California, public banking in Santa Barbara, and more. We'll look forward to seeing you there!

City Elections
Ballots mailed October 4 - 26
Vote by November 2

We will be discussing the upcoming City elections, and our role in them, at the 10/27 Chapter meeting, but in the meantime please get informed and vote! Three candidates (Cathy Murillo - Mayor, Kristen Sneddon - District 4, and Meagan Harmon - District 6) have been backed by a coalition that includes labor unions, progressive non-profits, and the Democratic Party. Their most credible opponents are backed by big developer money, Republican donors, and the police ([link removed]) . If you'd like to help support Cathy Murillo, Kristen Sneddon, and Meagan Harmon, canvasses are being held every Saturday at 10am and Sunday at 1pm. Canvasses will kick off from the Democratic Party offices on 123 East Carrillo Street.
