We have an exciting new innovative coordinator role to support the development of a sustainable social enterprise that will give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to build relationships and establish work ethics, whilst being supported to overcome barriers that can result in them failing to obtain or sustain opportunities that lead to training and employment.
As a coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and working alongside young people as they undertake assigned tasks that could involve manual work. Drive and direct the delivery of the Skill Mill service, including the work programme and activities that Skill Mill trainees will be undertaking.
Propose and develop innovative and effective plans to promote the Skill Mill and partnership activity, embedding the Skill Mill into YJS practice and manage operational delivery in accordance with local priorities and national best practice.
To be considered for this exciting position it is essential that you have experience of direct work with young people who are considered to be at risk. This will include those who are at risk of crime, anti-social behaviour, NEET, SEND, exploitation. You will possess previous experience of direct work with young people and their families ensuring you deliver high quality services and interventions.
*ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Experience of motivatingand developing young people to achieve continual improvement in engagementand performance.
* Experience ofimplementing best practice in the supervision of young people and successfully dealing with poor engagement with services whilst managing the delivery of high quality services to children and families with high and complex levels of need.
* Ability to communicate and negotiate with colleagues and partners to achieve successful outcomes.
* Experience of handlingconflict and managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.
* Experience of relevant Child Care and Youth Justice Legislation andof Safeguarding processes and policies.
* Must have a clean UK full driving licence, as you will be transporting young people between various sites.
