ggwash.org [ggwash.org][[link removed]]Hi Friend,
Thank you so much for RSVPing to the GGWash Fall Mixer. We are looking forward to seeing you from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Metrobar! [[link removed]]
Please share this email with any guests you invited, as it contains important logistics and public health information.
Directions to Metrobar: Metrobar is located at 640 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington, DC, one block west of the skybridge from the Rhode Island Ave-Brentwood Metro to the Metropolitan Branch Trail, and ½ block north of Rhode Island Ave NW. GGWash enthusiastically encourages attendees to choose transit, bike, scooter, or sidewalks as their travel method.
Bring a valid photo ID, as Metrobar will be checking IDs, and a mask.
Public health expectations for the GGWash Fall Mixer
GGWash has implemented the below expectations to help minimize the risk of covid-19, but attending an event in a pandemic is inherently risky. Each of us has a responsibility, therefore, to work together to create an event on Thursday that is as safe as possible. We are asking you to take that responsibility seriously. To that end…
Contact tracing. When you check in, if we do not have contact information on file for you, you will be asked to complete a brief form for contact tracing purposes.
We encourage wearing your mask when in close proximity with others, including at check-in. Please bring a mask and wear it when you check-in, given the likelihood of being in close proximity with others, and when you use the restroom, given the District of Columbia's indoor mask mandate.
We encourage wearing a mask throughout the event if you are in a high-risk category or live with someone in a high-risk category. GGWash supports vaccination! We hope all eligible attendees have gotten a covid-19 vaccine. If you are unvaccinated, otherwise in a high-risk category, or live with someone in a high-risk category, we highly recommend masking during the event. If you are bringing children who are unvaccinated, we highly recommend masking.
Stay home if you're sick! If you have a fever, cough, or are generally feeling unwell [[link removed]] , we ask that you stay home this time around. Err on the side of "better safe than sorry," for the benefit of everyone you would otherwise interact with. Please reach out to
[email protected] [
[email protected]] if you would like to request a refund for your ticket.
You don't like it when buses end up bunched together -- so let's not replicate that here: please spread out! With over 11,000 square feet, Metrobar has plenty of space to spread out and avoid crowding. Please do so. Avoid clustering in tight crowds at the bar or at check-in.
By working together, we can create an event that minimizes risk without sacrificing fun. Thank you in advance for taking this seriously.
After nearly two years, we are so glad to have the chance to see you on Thursday! Please reach out if you have questions about any of the above guidance.
