🚫✂️ Take the #NoCutsChallenge on the Green New Deal & PRO Act!

For some, Biden’s first year meant brunch. But for DSA members, it meant launching two national campaigns for historic labor and climate laws: the PRO Act and the Green New Deal for Public Schools.

Now, thanks to our 1,000,000 calls, over 100 rallies, and 50+ chapter campaigns later, we are close to major wins on both. But those wins are seriously threatened right now.

Key pieces of the PRO Act and $82 billion dollars of GND4PS inspired funding are included in the $3.5 trillion Build Back Better Act (aka “budget reconciliation”).

If we can keep them there, we’ll have won the biggest labor reform in generations, and literally break the first federal ground on the Green New Deal.

If. Because Manchin, Sinema, and their corporate puppetmasters are working hard to cut the bill down into nothing, which means our wins are on the chopping block.

Which leaves us two choices: either hope Democratic Leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi stop them, or make sure they do.

This Thursday, September 30 we’re calling on every DSA member, teacher, union member, student, and worker to demand Schumer & Pelosi join us for the #NoCutsChallenge. All you have to do is:
1. Wear red
2. Take a selfie or group photo holding scissors (SAFELY!)
3. Tweet and/or Instagram and/or post it on Facebook with a caption like below (feel free to copy and paste):
Dear @SenSchumer & @SpeakerPelosi, take the #NoCutsChallenge with me! Keep the #PROAct and $82 billion for #GreenNewSchools in the Build Back Better Act!
Or
Dear @SenSchumer & @SpeakerPelosi, I’m taking the #NoCutsChallenge to prevent cuts to #GreenNewSchools funding, the #PROAct, and the rest of the Build Back Better Act. Will you join me?
(Or whatever you want, as long you tag @SenSchumer & @SpeakerPelosi, and use the #NoCutsChallenge hashtag, so we can amplify.)

Nearly a year of fighting has got us this far, but it’s up to us to bring it home. If we can, it will be one of the biggest victories for socialism in the US in decades. And if we can now, imagine what we can do next.
