I’ll get straight to the point: Florida Republicans are trying to ban abortions in our state.

Reproductive rights, voting rights, and other human rights are being diminished by the GOP in Florida and other states with each passing day. Republican-controlled legislatures are passing harsh laws stripping away our freedoms.

We can’t ignore these blatant attacks on our democracy and freedoms. It’s up to each of us to fight back.

Right now in Congress, I’m fighting to pass legislation permanently protecting reproductive rights and voting rights for every American, including the Women’s Health Protection Act, to stop states who think they can overturn Roe v. Wade , and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act .
