Democrats just introduced the Freedom to Vote Act: Our last, best chance to protect voting rights, fight partisan gerrymandering, and shine a light on the corrupting influence of dark money in politics.
One of the key components of the legislation? Making Election Day a federal holiday. It’s a no-brainer: Americans should have the freedom to vote—and perform a civic duty—without taking time off from work.
A recent Pew study found that a majority of Americans (65%!!) want Election Day to be a federal holiday, but we need to hear from grassroots Democrats like you:
