Democrats just introduced the Freedom to Vote Act: Our last, best chance to protect voting rights, fight partisan gerrymandering, and shine a light on the corrupting influence of dark money in politics.

One of the key components of the legislation? Making Election Day a federal holiday. It’s a no-brainer: Americans should have the freedom to vote—and perform a civic duty—without taking time off from work.

A recent Pew study found that a majority of Americans (65%!!) want Election Day to be a federal holiday, but we need to hear from grassroots Democrats like you:

SHOULD ELECTION DAY BE A FEDERAL HOLIDAY?

This year alone, Republicans in 48 states have introduced nearly 400 BILLS that would make it HARDER for Americans to vote. 

It’s time for Democrats in Congress to fight back and take meaningful action to fight voter suppression—before it’s too late.
