Virginia's last elections were so close that control of the House of
Delegates literally came down to a tiebreaker in one race.
In the key race that decided the majority, the winner was chosen by
drawing a name out of a bowl. The pro-environment candidate lost — and
Virginians have suffered the consequences of the climate deniers still
holding power, and still bowing to the wishes of fossil fuel lobbyists.
Every single vote counts. That's why a few weeks from now, we're looking
for help from all across America to get out the vote in Virginia's vital
state elections on November 5. Let's elect a pro-environment majority in
the Virginia legislature to take the bold climate action we need to move
the state toward a clean energy future.
