Hi Friend,

Last week was a devastating one for New York. Neighbors are without power, homes have been damaged by unprecedented flood water levels, and multiple people have died in our state. These extreme weather events are inextricably linked to climate change, which I’m fighting against in Congress to ensure that future generations don’t have to experience even worse disasters.

I wanted to take a moment to check in on you, friend. If you need any assistance, here are some resources:

For help with insurance and claim issues, you can call the Disaster & Flood Resource Center Hotline at (800)-339-1759 Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm ET.

Due to the increased volume of people applying for assistance, you may choose instead to apply for help online at DisasterAssistance.gov.

For additional assistance, you can visit New York City’s resources page at [link removed].

I hope these resources are helpful, and please stay safe. I’m thinking of you and your family during this time.
