Hi comrades! Your local DSA Chapter took a little break in August, but we're starting up again. We hope to rebuild our chapter as we come out of our COVID-era dormancy. Read on to learn what we're thinking.


** Mutual-Aid Working group
------------------------------------------------------------
One of the reasons I(Scott, your co-chair) joined DSA was so I could help, directly or indirectly, people live a kinder and more dignified life. There's lots of ways to do that; Mutual-aid is one of them. Mutual-aid helps folks in need directly, and it acknowledges that we might be in a situation one day where we need that help ourselves. We've done some mutual-aid before, like our brake-light clinic, and I think we could do more and make it a cornerstone of our chapter. If you're interested in working on mutual-aid efforts, please email [email protected]. I'll schedule a virtual meeting where we can discuss what mutual-aid might look like for us and what we can begin working on. Thanks!


** Red Deal/Decolonization Reading Group

The Red Deal reading group is going strong and still meeting. It will likely morph into a general decolonization reading group. All are welcome to join. Email [email protected] for details about the group.
