For decades now, the Supreme Court has been steadily gutting elements of the Voting Rights Act, leaving it a shell of its former self.
A new bill aims to restore key provisions and protect voters from discrimination and disenfranchisement. It’s called the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. And it’s desperately needed in 2021.
