Let me tell
you a few things about the transformative $3.5 trillion spending bill in
Congress.
First, a very small group of Democrats have tried to block the bill. They
call themselves “moderates.” The truth is, it’s not the moderate position
to be against investments in child care, paid leave, health care, and
addressing climate change. This is the Democratic agenda, it is the
president's agenda, and it is what we promised people across America.
Second, this could be the most significant piece of progressive
legislation passed in decades. We have the chance to expand Medicare,
guarantee paid leave for working people, make investments in education and
child care, fight climate change, and so much more. That’s what we’re
fighting for in this bill.

team let me know that we’re working hard to bring in $50,000 before the
end of August. I don’t take a cent from corporate PACs or Wall Street,
because my fight is for the people, not corporate profits.

This bill is being written right now, and I’m fighting for every single
one of our priorities — because folks desperately need economic relief and
real action to avert further climate disaster. My Democratic colleagues
and I will also be fighting to ensure “moderates” don’t get in the way of
passing the investments we need.
This fight isn’t going away anytime soon. I’m used to long fights — but we
organize to secure victories for working people in the end. This time will
be no different.

you chip in to fuel my fight for bold, transformative change across this
country? Economic relief, social change, and the fight for the environment
is only possible with all of us working together.
In solidarity,
Pramila
