House Democrats are writing this bill right now, and I’m fighting for every single one of our priorities.
Let me tell you a few things about the transformative $3.5 trillion spending bill in Congress.
First, a very small group of Democrats have tried to block the bill. They call themselves “moderates.” The truth is, it’s not the moderate position to be against investments in child care, paid leave, health care, and addressing climate change. This is the Democratic agenda, it is the president's agenda, and it is what we promised people across America.
Second, this could be the most significant piece of progressive legislation passed in decades. We have the chance to expand Medicare, guarantee paid leave for working people, make investments in education and child care, fight climate change, and so much more. That’s what we’re fighting for in this bill.
