AS WE REFLECT ON THIS PAST WEEK, I WOULD LIKE TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR BRAVE
SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN TRAPPED WITHIN AFGHANISTAN’S BORDERS. I AM
EXTREMELY DISHEARTENED TO SEE THE CURRENT CRISIS UNFOLDING OVERSEAS,
BUT I PRAY THAT ALL AMERICANS ARE RETURNED SAFELY TO U.S SOIL. ON
BEHALF OF ALL NEW HAMPSHIRE REPUBLICANS, THANK YOU TO OUR VETERANS AND
CURRENT ACTIVE MILITARY WHO RISK EVERYTHING IN ORDER TO PROTECT
AMERICAN FREEDOMS. WE WILL NEVER FORGET THE SACRIFICES, AND THE LIVES
LOST IN ORDER TO ENSURE U.S CITIZENS CAN LIVE WITHOUT FEAR.

MESSAGE FROM THE REPUBLICAN LEADER
House Republicans and Friends Across New Hampshire,
Especially as schools begin to reopen around the state, we are
reminded how critical a proper education is to forming well-rounded
and intelligent citizens. This week as Education Freedom Account
Applications go live, I encourage all families to go online to see if
you qualify and to fill out an application.

This year, our caucus has worked hard to ensure that if you are
ignored by your local school board, you have options. Whether it is
homeschooling, transferring schools, or sending your child to a
charter school, House Republicans understand that there is no
"one-size fits all" solution to providing our children with an
environment where they can learn.
Also, as legislators continue to prepare to file their legislation for
the upcoming session, I want to remind everyone that in observance of
Labor Day, all New Hampshire State Offices will be closed on Monday,
September 6th.
Finally, I would like to extend our caucus' gratitude toward all of
our men and women who have served our country in Afghanistan. We hope
to see all Americans safely evacuated as soon as possible and call
upon our fellow legislators and leaders to help assure this is done in
a timely and urgent manner.
All the best,
Jason Osborne, House Majority Leader

A WIN FOR SCHOOL CHOICE
This week, the Joint Legislative Committee on Administrative Rules
voted along party lines to approve rules to implement New
Hampshire’s Education Freedom Accounts Act.
This innovative school choice program will for the first time allow
families in need the opportunity to leverage state education funding
for alternatives to their local schools. We know that every child
learns differently, and while some students thrive in their local
district schools, others struggle and need another path.
Education Freedom Accounts use state dollars for non-public school
tuition, hardware and software for remote learning, transportation,
testing, and even Community College. Expanding school choice will give
families in need the chance to access the best education for their
children. I am proud of the work that Senators Ward, Hennessey, and
Ricciardi put in on the Senate Education Committee to craft this
important and ground-breaking legislation. Because of this week’s
vote, families will be able to set up EFAs for their children this
fall.
New Hampshire families have more choices than ever before because
House and Senate Republicans and Governor Sununu trust New Hampshire
families to guide the education of their children.
Sen. Chuck Morse
REPUBLICAN SPOTLIGHT : REPRESENTATIVE JOE ALEXANDER
This week’s Republican of the week is Representative Joe
Alexander!
Rep. Alexander has represented Hillsborough 6 since 2018, serving on
the House Judiciary Committee. This past year Rep. Alexander became
the chair of the New Hampshire Young Republicans, which is hosting
their annual Pig Roast event this Saturday (8/28). It is critical to
have young activists like Joe in order to help engage the next
generation of Republican leadership and increase youth involvement!
Thank you Representative Alexander for your hard work here in New
Hampshire, and for ensuring we will have future Republicans to lead
the Granite State!
