With July the hottest month ever recorded and the U.N. report calling climate change a code-red emergency, LCV's nationwide campaign [link removed] to urge Congress to enact meaningful and just climate action is more urgent than ever.

Last week, Senate Democrats voted 50-49 to advance a $3.5 trillion 10-year budget framework with game-changing investments [link removed] on climate change, jobs, and environmental justice. This includes transformative provisions and funding to: cut U.S. carbon pollution by at least half by 2030;put our nation on the path to 100% carbon-free energy that powers our electricity grid and new cars, buses, and buildings by 2035; anddeliver at least 40% of investment benefits to communities of color and low-income communities that have borne the brunt of fossil fuel pollution. This is the opportunity we've worked for ? the most ambitious climate legislation in a generation being debated and written in Congress. And right now, thanks to partners like you, LCV is running the most significant environmental campaign in our history to push priority members of Congress whose support is needed to enact this climate action NOW.

From the Climate Action Now: Great American Build Tour [link removed], to ramped up field organizing efforts in 8 states [link removed], to ongoing paid media [link removed] campaigns in key states and congressional districts with television, digital, billboard, and print ads, LCV ? along with our partner Climate Power and our 30+ state affiliates ? is working across the country to bring attention to this historic opportunity and show members of Congress that voters demand bold action.

Recent Highlights: In the field: Our team is at work in priority states and districts [link removed], demonstrating strong visible support for action with business owners, community leaders, students, and constituents who are seeing the everyday impacts of the climate crisis and want a healthier and more equitable future. Last week, our organizers hit a milestone, knocking on 100,000 doors! In addition, we connected with over 3,200 businesses and placed 8,000 yard signs.
