Republicans and right-wing groups like the Heritage Foundation are generating a coordinated wave of anti-democratic, Jim Crow voter suppression bills across the country.

In 49 states, Republicans have introduced voter suppression bills sitting in their state legislative chambers — many taken word-for-word from drafts shared far and wide in conservative circles by far-right think tanks.

There are over 400 bills total.

And in 18 states, 30 of these bills have been passed into law in just the last 8 months.

There is no denying it: Voting rights are under assault.

In June, the Supreme Court upheld two voter suppression laws in Arizona, a state that helped send Joe Biden to the White House and secure our 50-50 Senate majority.

This is no ordinary debate on voting rights or election security. This has now become an all-out assault on our Democracy.

This week, the House passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act as our latest step to protect voting rights from this unprecedented campaign of suppression. Without a single Republican vote. That tells you everything you need to know about the modern-day GOP.
