The day of Ashura, as observed by Shia Muslims, commemorates the
Prophet's grandson Husayn ibn Ali (as), who was killed for
standing up and speaking out against oppression, injustice, and
inequality.

40 days after Ashura then marks Arbaeen (or Chehelom), another
important observance in the Shia calendar. On this day every
year, tens of millions of people gather in Iraq from all over the
globe to stand against oppression - this event is the LARGEST
annual peaceful gathering of humans on the planet.

To commemorate Arbaeen this year, the good people at The Mad
Optimist ( [link removed] )(formerly the Soapy
Soap Company) will donate 100% of all revenue on Saturday,
October 19th from online orders to Muslims for Progressive
Values and our work with advocating human rights, social justice
and inclusion in the US. We are indeed very honored that our

ecstatic to be teaming up.
