Congresswoman Lauren Boebert once again finds herself in murky financial waters with the AP and the Washington Post reporting that she failed to disclose that her husband worked for an energy consulting firm. This could possibly constitute a criminal act, depending on the Congresswoman's intent, especially as a member of the House Natural Resources Committee, on which she has pushed for looser regulations on oil and gas drilling. Her husband, Jayson Boebert, is on track to earn $768,000 in 2021 from Terra Energy Productions. It seems that Jayson Boebert inexplicably earns significantly more than others in equivalent positions. Additionally, Boebert may have violated House ethics rules and filing procedures, due to the way her husband was paid. Boebert has previously mentioned that her family relies on income from her restaurant Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado. However, Shooters Grill has posted $600,000 in operating losses over the last three years, going back to well before the pandemic. Despite this, they purchased a cargo plane in 2016. Is it possible that Boebert is leveraging her position in on the Natural Resources Committee to make her family richer and support her dying business?
