Hi friend,

So many of the issues we face today are intersectional with both race and gender justice, from economic inequality to criminal justice reform to healthcare.

And as the only Black woman in New York’s Congressional delegation, I know the importance of uplifting Black voices and other marginalized communities in our government to directly address these issues head on.

That’s why it’s so important that our voices remain heard in the halls of power -- why we need to keep this seat at the table.

My lived experience as a Black woman is the bedrock of my work as a devoted public servant. I am the co-founder and chair of the Congressional Task Force on Black Women and Girls, which tackles issues that disproportionately affect Black women and develops programs to support their aspirations.

And as a daughter of immigrants, I have led the charge to protect DACA recipients and co-chair the House Caribbean Caucus and helped found the House Haiti Caucus.

I will always work to empower marginalized folks in our community. But I can’t do it without your help -- can you pitch in to support my re-election campaign and ensure that Black women have a seat at the table?

Thanks team,

Yvette
