This week, we saw the brave Texas Democrats return to their home state after fleeing the state to stop the Texas GOP from passing modern-day Jim Crow voting restrictions.
However brave those Democratic legislators were, we need Congress to take action now more than ever to protect the vote -- particularly for communities of color. Fleeing under the shadow of night is not a sustainable solution for the current onslaught on our rights and our democracy.
Yvette is working day and night to rally Democrats behind the scenes to support voting rights legislation and restore the protections originally outlined in the Voting Rights Act. But she needs our help to keep her seat at the table.
