Friend, at my Iowa town hall I got a chance to hear from caucusgoers about real problems they face.
One question really stuck with me: A community leader asked what I'd do about the people who live on the edge of the middle-class, where one unexpected bill or expense could throw them into financial chaos.
This question is what our whole campaign should be about: building opportunity to ensure that hardworking families can live good middle-class lives, free from fear of surprise bills sending them into debt.
Here's one of my solutions: By increasing the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit, we can reduce childhood poverty by 40% and put more money in the hands of hardworking people -- instead of giving more tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans.

While I was talking to Iowans about the issues they face and the solutions we can create to solve them, some of the 2020 primary field was sparring over banning Trump from Twitter on the debate stage.
We don't win in 2020 by playing into the media circus.
We win in 2020 by providing real solutions to fix this country's greatest challenges and by focusing our campaign on the issues that matter.
As a senator from a purple state, I've never known an easy election.
But I've won every time I've been on the ballot by making my campaigns about real issues that working families care about.
We're going to win by having real conversations with the American people. Will you to chip in to our movement?
