Stunningly, only two African-Americans have ever been elected governor in our nation's history, and there has never been an Afro-Latino governor. It's time for that to change, and I’m ready to blaze the trail.

By electing me as Maryland’s next governor, we would make history. Young Black and Latino kids deserve to see leadership in which they can see themselves represented, and I hope to serve as an example showing them that they can accomplish anything they set their mind to.
