Follow Us on Social President's Message This week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its guidance to recommend universal indoor masking for all teachers, staff, students, and visitors to K-12 schools, regardless of vaccination status. The American Academy of Pediatrics had issued a similar recommendation on July 19, stating that everyone older than age 2 should wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. NASN supports the recommendation for universal masking in schools (unless medical or developmental conditions prohibit use) given the current reality that a number of students are not yet eligible for COVID-19 vaccination.
