The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games are underway, and they represent a series of firsts: the first time the modern Olympic Games have ever been postponed and the first time openly transgender athletes will compete at the Games.
Athletes are speaking out about the unfairness:
* Inga Thompson ([link removed]) , a three-time Olympic cyclist who competed at the 1984, 1988, and 1992 Olympics, says it is unfair for biological males to compete against female athletes due to male physical advantages.
* Selina Soule ([link removed]) , a decorated college track athlete, worries about the opportunities that female athletes will lose to biological males.
* Cynthia Monteleone ([link removed]) , a Team USA World Masters track champion specializing in the 400 meter, and her daughter, both whom have competed against biological males in their women’s track careers, are explaining how it hurts female athletes and undermines fair play in sports.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced yesterday that "Senators should prepare to work through the weekend in order to finish the bipartisan infrastructure bill." While he claims that this bill is "bipartisan," it's part of a larger very partisan agenda that has little to do with infrastructure—and everything to do with the Democrats' liberal agenda (e.g. massive spending, subsidized government daycare, free college and extreme climate change policy proposals). Schumer plans on using a tricky legislative tactic (budget resolution) to pass the second part of this massive "infrastructure" plan through the Senate without ANY Republican votes.
