More GOP Women Announce
Runs for Congress
More GOP women are announcing their campaigns for
Congress every day! Nearly 150 Republican women have now filed to run
for Congress this cycle. This SHATTERS records — more than doubling the
50 women at this point in the 2020 cycle and hitting a record for this
point dating back to 2010.
While E-PAC plans to make endorsement
announcements in the next few months, for now, we are tracking the
announcements of new candidates across the country. Meet two GOP women
candidates for Congress who announced their campaigns just this past
week:
NH:01: Karoline Leavitt, a former assistant press secretary to
President Trump and spokesperson for Congresswoman Stefanik, announced
her campaign for Congress against vulnerable Democrat Chris Pappas.

FL-07:
Republican Erika Benfield announced that she’s challenging Democrat
Stephanie Murphy to represent FL-07. Benfield is a former DeBary City
Commissioner and an interior designer who owns her own design business.
