It’s past time that we recognize once and for all that housing is a human
right and invest our resources accordingly. Everyone deserves a home that
is affordable, safe, accessible, and located near employment
opportunities. Period.

As part of our artist collaboration series, this shirt is designed by
[ [link removed] ]Lo Harris, a Brooklyn-based illustrator and animator who champions
vibrance, confidence, and joy. Through the use of bright colors and strong
figures she creates celebratory work that promotes visions of a more just
and kind world.

We need to deal with the deepening housing crisis in America because:

* More than 17 million households are spending more than half of their
income on housing.
* There are currently no states in the country where a full-time worker
earning the federal minimum wage can afford a modest two-bedroom
apartment.^1
* Residents of public housing routinely suffer worse health outcomes due
to mold infestations, lead contamination, poor indoor air quality, and
unsafe temperatures.
