We’re sweating just typing this out…

The heat has been insane recently, team. The west coast received the brunt of it; over 100 people have died from heat exhaustion and dehydration. The gulf of Mexico and the Caspian Sea are on fire. Folks, if there were any time to take the existential threat of climate change seriously, it’s now.

Temperatures in New York soared to the lower 90s, causing Mayor DeBlasio to ask residents to use their air conditioners with caution, as the power grids began to be overwhelmed with the demand. 

As the summer months continue, we can expect more sweltering days. We need to upgrade our infrastructure and create green jobs while doing so. We can’t let our neighbors suffer because we didn’t take action.
