Local Plan consultation now open
Take part in our consultation and help to shape the future of planning and development across Oldham.

The Local Plan will guide development in Oldham up to 2037 setting the rules with which new homes and industrial buildings have to comply, and establishing where they can be built. It will also guide how we make decisions on whether or not planning applications can be granted.

Improve your local area
Remember, if you have an idea that could improve your local area, Oldham Council has £500,000 to invest in a variety of projects across the borough as part of the Local Improvement Fund, and we want to hear from you so it’s time to get your thinking caps on.

Whether it’s an idea that can enhance the quality of life in your area such as an improved green space, or even improvements to community buildings, equipment and other facilities locally, send them in.

To get involved, all you must do is contact your local councillor ([link removed]) before Friday 23 July to discuss your idea and they will then submit an expression of interest on your behalf to get the ball rolling before a further application and judging process later this year.
