Get your Coronavirus vaccination ASAP

Anyone aged 18 and above can now get vaccinated. The following vaccination centres do not require you to have an appointment: 
  • 10am to 8pm every Wednesday at The Millennium Centre, Featherstall Road North, Oldham OL9 6QB
  • 10am to 8pm every Sunday at The European Islamic Centre, 79 Manchester Road, Oldham OL8 4LN
  • Until 11 July, various times at the Dinwoodie Centre, Royal Oldham Hospital, Rochdale Road, Oldham, OL1 2JH
  • 9am–6pm, 12 to 14 July, at South Chadderton Methodist Church, 25 Thompson Lane, Chadderton, OL98LX
  • 9am to 6pm, until 11 July at the Pakistani Community Centre, Marlborough Street, OL41EG

We should all be taking an interest in the air that we breathe. That's why we're committed to creating a Clean Air Zone to bring nitrogen dioxide  levels in line with legal limits on local roads in the shortest possible time. Find out more here. 
Keep getting tested 👍
We recommend that everyone gets a rapid lateral flow test at least twice a week to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 and to keep those around us safe.

Local Plan consultation now open
Take part in our consultation and help to shape the future of planning and development across Oldham.

The Local Plan will guide development in Oldham up to 2037 setting the rules with which new homes and industrial buildings have to comply, and establishing where they can be built. It will also guide how we make decisions on whether or not planning applications can be granted.

Improve your local area
Remember, if you have an idea that could improve your local area, Oldham Council has £500,000 to invest in a variety of projects across the borough as part of the Local Improvement Fund, and we want to hear from you so it’s time to get your thinking caps on. 

Whether it’s an idea that can enhance the quality of life in your area such as an improved green space, or even improvements to community buildings, equipment and other facilities locally, send them in. 

To get involved, all you must do is contact your local councillor before Friday 23 July to discuss your idea and they will then submit an expression of interest on your behalf to get the ball rolling before a further application and judging process later this year. 

Coronavirus guidelines for Greater Manchester

  • Meet outside rather than inside where possible
  • Keep 2 metres apart from people that you don’t live with (unless you have formed a support bubble with them), this includes friends and family you don’t live with
  • Minimise travel in and out of affected areas
  • Get tested twice a week for free and isolate if you are positive
  • Continue to work from home if you can
  • Get vaccinated when you are offered it, and encourage others to do so as well
