Not vetoed: $4 Billion transfer of money from the Earnings Reserve Account (ERA) to the Permanent Fund (PF). This prevents the $4 billion from being spent. The Fund will now earn nearly $200 million more every year forever. The Governor meant to veto the $4 billion but it was missed. Impact of vetoes: Education No forward funding to provide continuity of education operations. Medicaid The Legislature reduced funding to the program by $17 million. The Governor vetoed another #17 million. Office of Children Services Additional funds to the agency would've allowed for pay increases. REAL ID for rural communities This has been a long battle with no resolve. It's clear that the various communities need additional funding to issue REAL IDs.
