Big news, friend.

The USDA just released results confirming EWG’s discovery of the cancer-causing weedkiller glyphosate in organic chickpeas.

The USDA conducted this investigation because of EWG’s shocking finding of glyphosate levels in Harris Teeter Organic Brand chickpeas higher than the EPA’s legal limit for non-organic chickpeas.

This was a huge deal: Foods that carry the USDA organic-certified seal must be free of toxic pesticides and dozens of other toxic chemicals.

EWG immediately alerted the USDA of our results, in 2020. Now the USDA is taking action to prevent future cross-contamination. But that’s not enough.
