Winning elections can cost millions, sometimes even billions of dollars. So it might ring false when someone emails you to say, “Chip in just $3 to help us win,” or “every donation counts!”

But we’re trying to do things differently here, and that’s why we are being as transparent as possible when it comes to our fundraising efforts.

If we’re going to re-elect leaders like Reps. Lucy McBath, Antonio Delgado, and Ayanna Pressley, and if we’re going to build Black political power so the American government can truly represent the American people -- every donation truly does count.

Here’s a breakdown of how every single donation can help make a difference:

- $10 could help elect the first Black woman as Mississippi's State Attorney General
- $25 could help Sheila Bynum-Coleman and other Democrats flips the Virginia Legislature
- $100 could help elect the next Black president
