With Tropical Storm Elsa projected to impact Florida, I want to provide some information and resources regarding hurricane preparation.
First, if you or someone you know needs a safe place to take shelter, there are currently three publicly run shelters in Hillsborough County. Additional shelters will open as needed.
Next, as you prepare for the storm, sandbags are available to the public and can be picked up at three locations within Hillsborough County. All locations open Monday, July 5 at 8:00 AM.
Lastly, click here to visit the Prepare Florida website to review the emergency preparedness toolkit, which includes a step-by-step process to prepare for and respond to natural emergencies. [[link removed]]

Stay safe, check in with your family and friends, and if you need assistance, please call my office at (813) 657-7781.
Thank you,
