VICTORY IN NEW YORK
Counting ballots during ranked choice voting is time-consuming [[link removed]] . Apparently it’s taking longer than a New York minute for our candidates in the New York City primaries to receive their results!
But there is good news from the state: Kim Smith won her race for the Rochester City Council. She’s one step closer to making history as the first out queer Black woman to serve on the Council [[link removed]] !
Sarah Salem won their primary in their reelection campaign for the Poughkeepsie Common Council, earning their place on the November ballot [[link removed]] !
GAME CHANGING CAMPAIGNS
Michele Rayner is busy announcing key endorsements in her race for Florida’s 13th Congressional District: the Equality PAC and Congressmembers David Cicilline and Mark Takano are both standing with her [[link removed]] ! Michele will be the first out person elected to the U.S. Congress from Florida!
