Dear friends,

It's been a busy, exciting and impactful Pride month! We started the month with P&G and iHeart Radio's “Can't Cancel Pride” ([link removed]) , featuring world class performers and queer icons, and giving OutRight a global stage to elevate our work. And we ended the month with the tremendousannouncement ([link removed]) from the White House appointing OutRight's Executive Director Jessica Stern as the Biden Administration's new Special Envoy for International LGBTQI+ Rights.

Pride month is ending, but the essence of Pride is always present. While June is symbolically marked as Pride month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, Pride events globally take place year-round. I'm so pleased to share with you that, supported by Google.org, OutRight has just published a new briefing paper, “Pride Around the World ([link removed]) ”, which provides a global snapshot of what Pride looks like and means in different countries. We hope this report will provide activists and allies around the world with a deeper understanding of the challenges that Prides face and the incredible resilience of our movement.

Throughout this Pride month OutRight's COVID-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund ([link removed]) became a premier vehicle for the private sector to support the global LGBTIQ community. Numerous brands chose to support OutRight with their unique Pride lines - Boohoo Group, Critical Role, Groupe Dynamite, Herman Miller, Hunter Boot, Levi Strauss & Co, Michael Kors, and Waterdrop. These and others also leveraged their campaigns and platforms to elevate OutRight’s work and the global issues we tackle, including Google.org, Groupon, Microsoft, Scotiabank and XBox.

As companies of all sizes continue to deepen alignment between their stated values and global practices when it comes to advancing LGBTIQ equality, we hope that these partnerships serve as inspiring examples for others to replicate and scale.
