- On June 15, 2021, MacKenzie Scott and Dan Jewett made a significant gift to OutRight Action International, along with 285 other equity-oriented organizations. Their generous support will enable OutRight to accelerate our work to advance the safety, security, and rights of LGBTIQ people globally.
- As part of the Arabic Media Program, OutRight in partnership with Transat, held a media training especially for trans people. While usually the program works with journalists, on this occasion we focused on training trans and non-binary activists empowering them to report about themselves. The training focused on effective interview skills, how to handle difficult questions, and ensure respectful coverage. The training was attended by 15 activists from 7 different countries from the Middle East and North Africa.
- On June 2, 2021, Google.org announced USD $2 million in support for OutRight Action International’s Covid-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund. Google.org's support, which also includes $1 million in Ad Grants, is transformative, doubling the Fund's reach and impact!
- OutRight has started issuing a new round of grants to LGBTIQ organizations on the frontlines through our Covid-19 Global LGBTIQ Emergency Fund.

Originally from Indiana, Cäcille now calls New York's Upper West Side home.

Sometimes the LGBTIQ acronym also includes the letter A which, depending on the context, can refer to either allies, asexual people, or both.
