Tonight's fundraising deadline is especially critical since it closes out
the second quarter of 2021. Our fundraising numbers will be made public
for everyone — from political media to our opponents — to see. They'll use
these public reports to make assumptions about the strength of our
campaign and progressive movement. 

And now that we're less than a year away from the 2022 primary, our
fundraising also has implications for our electoral prospects. One of the
first things potential challengers do when they think about going up
against an incumbent is to look at their fundraising, and make judgements
on how strong their supporter base is.
