Today is the last day of fundraising before our FEC quarterly fundraising deadline tonight at midnight — and my team is telling me we're still $2,809 away from reaching our goal.
It's clear that we're going to need a massive grassroots push right now if we want to make this quarter the strongest fundraising quarter our team has ever seen. Will you please chip in $5, $10, or anything you can to our campaign so we can reach our crucial end-of-quarter fundraising goal before it's too late?
Tonight's fundraising deadline is especially critical since it closes out the second quarter of 2021. Our fundraising numbers will be made public for everyone — from political media to our opponents — to see. They'll use these public reports to make assumptions about the strength of our campaign and progressive movement.
And now that we're less than a year away from the 2022 primary, our fundraising also has implications for our electoral prospects. One of the first things potential challengers do when they think about going up against an incumbent is to look at their fundraising, and make judgements on how strong their supporter base is.
Look, John. I've seen what our grassroots movement can really do when we get mobilized. We're bringing bold, progressive change not only to NY-16, but also to communities all over the country. It's so important for us to keep up our hard work and ensure our fundraising can keep pace with the future impact we want to make.
