It’s hard to be a parent in this country,

From the tax system to a lack of federal support, policymakers are failing
parents. Families are fighting to afford skyrocketing child care costs,
they lack paid leave, and federal policies are set up to avoid taking care
of the families who need help most.

Without help, families will continue to struggle. And at a time when
working parents are exiting the workforce in droves, we need to prioritize
policies that support families and our economic recovery. That’s why I’m

For too long, special interests manipulated the system to ensure
corporations could win over working families. They lobbied for big
businesses and the wealthy instead of the families who need support the
most. It’s time for that to change—the U.S. needs to catch up on
supporting families.

something we do for all of us to have a strong, stable economy. It’s an
