It’s hard to be a parent in this country, John.
From the tax system to a lack of federal support, policymakers are failing parents. Families are fighting to afford skyrocketing child care costs, they lack paid leave, and federal policies are set up to avoid taking care of the families who need help most.
Without help, families will continue to struggle. And at a time when working parents are exiting the workforce in droves, we need to prioritize policies that support families and our economic recovery. That’s why I’m fighting every single day for policies that are pro-family—from paid family leave to Medicare for All to universal childcare.

For too long, special interests manipulated the system to ensure corporations could win over working families. They lobbied for big businesses and the wealthy instead of the families who need support the most. It’s time for that to change—the U.S. needs to catch up on supporting families.
Investing in families is not something we do just for the parents; it’s something we do for all of us to have a strong, stable economy. It’s an investment in all of our futures—whether you have kids or not.
Thank you for supporting this grassroots movement.
