A protest outside JUUL’s Washington, D.C., office, part of the truth^® National Day of Action, kicked off more than 200 events across the country with thousands of young people rallying for their peers to ditch JUUL and for the Food and Drug Administration to remove flavored e-cigarettes and do its job of regulating the products.

Kroger and Walgreens cut e-cigarettes but fail to address combustible tobacco ([link removed])

We applaud Kroger and Walgreens for deciding to stop selling e-cigarettes, but that’s only the first step. Both companies will still sell tobacco products — but they shouldn’t. Pharmacies selling tobacco contribute to more young people starting to smoke and make it harder for smokers to quit.

Philip Morris introduces IQOS in the U.S. ([link removed])

IQOS launched in the U.S. late last week with questionable timing due to the current backlash against e-cigarettes. The industry claims that these products are safer than cigarettes, but much remains unknown about the devices and the impact they will have.

New York — The appellate division court issued a temporary restraining order in the lawsuit brought by the vaping industry to halt the enforcement of the state’s flavored e-cigarette ban. Further arguments are scheduled for Oct. 18.
