Senator Joe Manchin announced yesterday that he would vote AGAINST
historic voting rights legislation AND oppose ending the filibuster so we
can deliver for the people. He is putting the idea of bipartisanship —
which Republicans have long abandoned — ahead of passing the For The
People Act and protecting our democracy.
With Republicans passing dozens of coordinated voter suppression efforts
in states across the country and doing everything they can to make it
harder for people to vote, we can’t stop fighting to protect our
democracy.

a donation today to support my work to pass the For The People Act, end
the filibuster, and preserve our democracy?

From Georgia and Texas to Florida and states across America, Republicans
are working overtime to restrict the right to vote. There is a clear,
urgent, and popular solution: Passing the For the People Act. But we only
have a few months to get it done in time for the 2022 elections. And with
Joe Manchin, the filibuster, and Trump-Republicans in our way, we must put
the pressure on right now.
Voters delivered us the House, the Senate, and the White House. Now, we
must do everything in our power to protect voting rights — and our
democracy. It’s clear: Senate Democrats MUST pass the For the People Act.
Let’s build the grassroots movement to make it happen before it’s too
late.

our fight to end the filibuster and pass the critical For The People Act.
We don’t have time to waste.
