Mark's message: Join us June 12 and let's sprint to put a price on
carbon

With less than two weeks before our June 12 virtual conference, "The
Push For a Price On Carbon,"

CCL Executive Director Mark Reynolds has a message for our volunteers:
"We've been running a marathon for years working to get a price on
carbon, and it's at that point now where it's sprint time."

Watch Mark's video message to hear an update on where things stand in
Congress with carbon pricing legislation and how you can add to the
momentum by participating in our conference and lobbying efforts.

your Senators to vote for the bipartisan Growing Climate Solutions Act
when it comes to the floor, and 4,397 of you sent messages. Thank you
all for giving this bill one more push! We expect that this bipartisan
bill, led by Sen. Debbie Stabenow and Sen. Mike Braun, will soon be
brought to the Senate floor for a vote. Keep an eye on future Briefing

. The video delivers a simple message: The president has committed to
cutting U.S. emissions in half by 2030, and carbon pricing can get us
there.

Lobbying: Fun video supports calling campaign

Some of our younger volunteers in the Portland (OR) Youth Action Team
wanted to help out with CCL's Monthly Calling Campaign, so they made a
short video to demonstrate how easy it is to leave a message with your
member of Congress. One volunteer makes the call while she's lying on a
couch, one calls while she's putting on makeup, and another calls while
she's running on a track.

A steady drumbeat of calls to congressional offices is an effective
lobbying tool to influence representatives and senators. Hats off to
volunteers Megan Mandel, Adelle Iseri, Loella Dickey and Ella Adyani for
their work on this project. Watch and share this fun video with friends
and invite them to join the calling campaign.

Getting to net zero: CCL Strategy Director Tony Sirna takes a closer

endeavor. Read more
